Yuan Sheng Zhong's Chinese Painting [Biography] (ÖÐÎİæ)



Mr. Yuan Sheng Zhong    Yuan Sheng Zhong is a professional artist in Sichuan Painting Institute and the Vice Chairman of the Chengdu Association of Artists.

    From 1970 to 1976, Mr. Yuan served in the Army as an artist. After that he worked in a Culture Center. He once majored in Traditional Chinese Painting in the Fine Art College of Sichuan, and in 1982 he was admitted to a research program of traditional Chinese Painting Research Institute sponsored by the State Ministry of Culture. Mr. Yuan is good at body art painting, birds and flowers. For years he has been studying on the skills of Chinese and western paintings. He admires particularly the charm and interest displayed in the works of European classism and in the works of literati with Qi Baishi as the head. He draws on the strong points of various painting schools to complement himself. In "He tian Jade" a huge work and a number of other nude works, he ladles out his artistic ideals of the co-existance and compatibility of east and west cultures. Some of his works were demonstrated at the national exhibitions and won prizes. Others are in collection of some art galleries, museums, the Traditional Chinese Painting Research Institute, the Palace Museum of Thailand, and Nippon Rutoshia Chun Kegikai. He held his own painting show in Hongkong and participated some exhibitions in Taiwan, Japan, Australia, etc. His works have been introduced in many publications. His published works includes the Collected Works of Yuan Sheng Zhong. His works are admired by Mr. Sokai Molimot who is one of the most famous contemporary Japanese artists, Prof. Yusaku Kunida from Nippon Gakuen University and Mr.Ding Wang, the art critist from Hongkong.
